last chance for a song of hope, take it with you when you go, you did everything you could. last chance for a song of hope, it gets better oh I know, at this rate circles slow. A small fraction of what this all once was, that doesn't mean give up. It turned into a job, oh didn't it used to be fun though? Try helping someone else. Last chance for a song of hope, sing it with me when you go, things are different oh I know. It's different know but it was then, try to sort out your friends, with no examples left. We'll try to make it out, we'll never make it out, at this rate I don't... I linger like a shadow now, a picture from my own past, doesn't mean I can't sing a song of hope.

Imagine this place years ago before the row of foreclosed homes I too had a production past tense. All this time spent wasted on the building up, the loudness war we know what our mistakes were. It hurts to see the industry's been pushed away, technology, but it all comes down to a resistance to change. I'm resisting, oh resistance! Don't take me down, just to build yourself up, it's not the way it works. You'll try to claim its for the good of others, but you can't avoid the hurt. I will miss the painted bricks, the smiling faces of vegetables like a bulb to shine a little light here. Across the street an old dirt lot it's a hotel now for the football crowd, it's deeper but I still never know where to park. Staying here in January it will be two years of staying, the longest since I left home. Flapping out a sheet in breeze never stopping but only to catch on trees, winds change but I'll always hang out. I wanna hang out, call me and we'll hang out.

about

Quite happy to have gotten this split together with my pal Dakota Floyd. I dig these songs and I'm happy people will get to hear them coupled with Dakota's tunes.

thanks to Pam Galante (www.pgalantedesigns.com)
for the blueberry pattern
and Lauren Hicks-Floyd for the text and arrangement
